Dr. David Bowen, specializes in Interventional Pain Management and the non-surgical treatment of spine injuries. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High school, Dr. Bowen began his medical education by completing a double major in Biochemistry and Sociology from the University of Virginia. Following his undergraduate, he returned to Texas enrolling in medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where he earned his medical degree and was named Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. The following year, Dr. Bowen transitioned to Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a general surgery internship and an Anesthesia Residency. He capped his medical education with a Pain Management Fellowship from The University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. His clinical practice focuses on evaluating, diagnosing and treating individuals suffering from chronic pain. These methods include conservative management with physical therapy, lifestyle changes, non-opioid medical management and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Bowen’s clinical interests include spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation and minimally invasive procedures to treat pain.
